I cannot believe that the AOY came down to a one ounce difference from a trash fish! Bill and Russell, you have the right to challenge each other to a "fish off" if you do not want to share the highly sought after, coveted, and prestigious honor of being our first ANGLERS OF THE YEAR. Congratulations.
The AOY race is interesting. The points system is designed for a larger tournament. But because we have such a small number of boats, and because Bill and Russell caught that 6 lber at Guntersville, there is only a one point difference in the AOY race. This is make the Lake Martin tournament fun because the AOY title will be up for grabs.
This year, the club doesn't have enough money for a trophy or other prize, so the AOY will only year bragging rights. To assist in the bragging, the AOY will have his picture posted at the front of the members site.
