Bill and Vickie visit the newest member of the Greene family...

January 22, 2005

They had the bow panel off and were bolting on the Motor Guide which was nice cause I got the opportunity to see what kind of job they did mounting it (excellent). They were also doing several other things so...the interior was pretty much kayos.

You can't really tell from these digitals but this boat's a good bit larger than my Nitro. The width is 92" vs 86" and it's a foot longer and a little deeper inside. The draft is 18" .  The motor is a 200 Merc Optimax with a 45 gal fuel tank. It also has a hydraulic jack plate as well as trim tabs which I'm going to have to learn to use. Another feature that is new to me is the hydraulic disk surge brakes on the (aluminum & fiberglass) trailer. I was a little worried about the "black" Hamby Keel Protector on the front but I'm pleased to see that it looks quite good. Anyhoo...don't know if all this means I catch more fish but obviously...I can't wait to break her in....

The boat cover is in the plastic under the passenger console. Glove compartment is huge...seats are deep and quite comfy. Notice the bow panel and front depth finder is unscrewed...

==UPDATE==

Bill has brought his new baby home.  See pictures with his comments below

Definitely more weight than the Nitro but the Toyota's V8 handled it well....

Haven't decided where I'm going to screw down the foot control yet......

I'm really impressed with the build quality of the trailer....

Got a little nervous but it fit.....

Put up another shop light (in the front) and it lit it up like the beach...
