Memorable Memorial Day

In May of '01 Lance and I (Bo) went fishing on the Coosa River below Logan Martin Dam right where Jay Yelas won the 2002 Bassmaster Classic.  This was the the best topwater action I've ever seen in my life.  It was amazing.  We wore the hybrids, salts, spots and largemouth out.  Unfortunately, we used a wet disposable camera, so the quality of these pics aren't as good as they could be.  But it was rainy and we're lucky we had any at all.

The lesson I learned form this trip was: split ring pliers belong in your tackle box.  These hybrids and salts will destroy a treble hook.  And it is hard to replace them on the boat when you are shaking from excitement and your partner keeps yelling "got one", "get the net", and "take a picture".
