Old River -- Vidalia

I was already dying to fish a frog after watching Dean Rojas fish the Alabama River.  After watching him fish it at he Bassmaster Classic I really had to go.  I fished sassy toads and some frogs I bought for Guntersville when I lived in Alabama and fished them hard for several hours.  The results? One gar.  I did manage to put together a nice 9 lb - 10 oz stringer.  Fish were caught on topwater (not frog), tubes, senko, and a crankbait.  I had one small fish that I could not cull.  I also caught a bunch of white bass and saltwater stripe.  Fun!  Tight Lines.

I had to share my fishing spot with a gator.

The only fish I caught with my frogs was this trash fish.

I thought these things were supposed to be nocturnal.

But this guy is wide awake.

I was catching lots of freshwater stripe...but this guy looks like a salt.

I caught five fish that weighed 9 lbs 10 oz.
