STORY

Two great days of prefishing with perfect March weather was followed by one of the those spring cold fronts that seem to hit on the weekends during prime fishing season. The front had rain, 20 mph winds, lows in the lower thirties, and highs struggling to reach 50 during the tournament. NICE. 14'' fish seemed to be common, but for this tournament only fish over 15'' could be weighed in. Catching 15 inchers was tough for everyone but Bill and Russell's pattern seemed to hold up better than everyone else's.

1st Place: Fish were caught on carolina rigged watermelon seed flukes in 2nd creek.
2nd Place: Fish caught digging a crawfish colored Bomber crankbait in shallow water on the south side of the lake.
3rd Place: Only keeper was caught on a carolina rigged redbug finesse worm in 20' of water. The spinnerbait / crankbait patterns in Elk River died with the front.
