LAKE MITCHELL STORY
July 10, 2009

TMT had a night wildcat on Lake Mitchell July 10th, 2009.  This was a big fish tournament.  We launched from Higgins Ferry about 8:30 and all anglers headed in different directions.  It is always a weird feeling when you turn around and notice that NO ONE is headed the same way as you.  Shawn spent the evening fishing Hatchet and the island area across from Higgins Ferry to pull out a victory.  The good ole Motoroil and Chartreuse finesse worm worked well.  Weigh in was at 3:00am.  Fishing was tough for Lance and Hal who caught a single fish at 2:45am.  Clint did pretty well fishing the Cargyle Creek area but it wasn’t enough to compete.  Shawn won the tournament with a 3-08 LM and caught a respectable 11-00 stringer.   Fun was had by all but Lake Mitchell didn’t produce the numbers this trip.  There have been several tournaments and prep for another tournament on Saturday so pressure is high on the lake right now.
